These are 5 must do things on your next visit to Waupaca.

The roots of this famous tour go back to 1963, when the Chief Oshkosh Brewing Company employed a sternwheeler boat to transport beer up and down the Fox River. The brewing company never took off, and abandoned the  "Chief Oshkosh". Until 1973 when the boat was resurrected by Pat and Mimi Meighan. The Meighans saw potential in the sternwheeler. They renamed it the "Chief Waupaca". Ever since the sternwheeler has been giving tours on the Chain O' Lakes. The boat was missing one thing, a harbor. In 1979 the Meighan opened the Clear Water Harbor, not only a place to dock the chief, but also a restaurant and bar. The Chief Waupaca boat cruise takes you exploring through 8 lakes of the crystal clear Chain O' Lakes. This narrated and scenic tour is one you will never forget!
